Each piece has its own unique number making these sets a very limited edition. Once in a while we like to create something that is a little bit special. We have recently been collecting old Fire Steels, Tins and Tinderboxes for a new range of limited edition Fire Lighting Kits.  Perfect for re-enactors, bushcrafters, collectors or someone who wants something a little bit unique and maybe a possible heirloom for future generations.  

All the items added fit snuggly into this mini tin and the custom made leather pouch keeps this mini tinderbox safe and protected. Together they make a little bit of history come back to life. Although this is a limited edition piece is still designed to be used. The more you use it, the more loved it will look. The Hand Crafted Leather Pouch

Each of our limited edition pieces has had a custom made leather pouch made for them. We wanted to make each set a little bit special and unique. This pouch has been hand cut to size, hand stitched and hand dyed and has been given a leather thong wrap round fastening.  Measures approx: 90mm x 100mm  and is made from a high quality veg tanned British leather. The pouch has been hand cut, hand stitched in our Kent workshop and then hand dyed to compliment the mini Tinderbox. A perfect gift for someone who wants something unique and definitely not from the High Street!

The Heart Shaped Fire Steel Pendant

This simple heart shaped fire steel has been influeneced by the tradional 18thc French designs where heart shapes became very popular. Given as a love token but also they had a practical side as they could be used as a Fire Steel & still be worn as a pendant.

Pendant Fire Steels can be a bit fiddly to use, especaily the smaller ones, and we do recommend that you do need some experience as a traditional fire starter. If you are unsure, please check out our Library of Videos and Articles on Flint & Steel fire lighting.  

This traditional styled Fire Steel Striker is used for traditional ‘Flint & Steel’ fire making. Used with Amadou tinder fungus or Char Cloth, the sparks created from this top quality steel striker will easily form an ember that can be used to ignite a tinder bundle.
