This traditional 19th Century mini steel striker is based on a Sardinain style and in comparison to some traditional fire steels, can almost be classified as almost modern in design. Used with Amadou tinder fungus or Char Cloth, the sparks created from this top quality steel striker will easily form an ember that can be used to ignite a tinder bundle.  Its an ideal size for keeping in a Tinderbox or a Tinder Pouch. Ideal for re-enactors. Although this mini Fire Steel can be used by beginners, we do advise some experience of using a Flint & Steel striker due to its’ smaller size.  

Our Fire Steels have been specially designed to spark efficiently when using the correct striking technique, and that optimal spark generation can only really be achieved when using a new super sharp piece of flint, as well as some good quality, and dry tinder, such as Char Cloth, Amadou or Chaga.
