Sometimes known as ‘dragonships’ by their enemies due to their Dragon shaped bow. The long ships were characterized by their graceful long, narrow hull which was designed for speed through the water. We at Beaver Bushcraft have tried to capture the romance of the Viking long ship and our love of Dragons in these beautifully styled traditional Steel Strikers. The bow has the perfect edge for striking on flint to create an ember and although initially its looks tricky to hold, this type of traditional fire Steel is surprisingly comfortable in the hand. These make an ideal gift for any inspiring Norseman and are something a bit different and fun but still are still a serious piece of Fire Lighting kit. Designed & made by us in the UK and are part of our range of Fantasy Fire Steels.

Our Fire Steels have been specially designed to spark efficiently when using the correct striking technique, and that optimal spark generation can only really be achieved when using a new super sharp piece of flint, as well as some good quality, and dry tinder, such as Char Cloth, Amadou or Chaga.
