This beautiful Hand-Stitched Solar Ignition pendant makes a lovely alternative to using a traditional Flint & Steel, however, please note you do need some sun!!! Using the built-in 'burning' lens in the Leather Mount, you just focus the sun's rays onto a piece of Tinder such as Char Cloth or Amadou until it starts to smoulder, then place into your Tinder Bundle.  Ideal to use with Tinder such as Char Cloth, Amadou, Chaga, Moxa, Paper. 

The leather cover has been designed to protect the lens when not in use and is secured by a single brass press stud. The inside of the case has an extra small leather disc built into the cover as extra protection for the lens to provent damage. These particular items have been  hand dyed but will still take on a natural patina that will age better over time and with use. The leather has been finished with a finishing Balm that will help to protect the leather.
