This beautifully made, hand stitched Solar Ignition pendant makes a lovely alternative to using a traditional Flint & Steel, however, please note you do need some sun!!! Using the built-in 'burning' lens in the Leather Mount, focus the sun's rays onto a piece of Tinder such as Char Cloth or Amadou until it starts to smoulder, then place into your Tinder Bundle. Ideal to use with Tinder such as Char Cloth, Amadou, Chaga, Moxa, Paper. The Brass 'D' Ring gives this particular version the option of being suspened from a Belt Loop or Key Ring. The high Spec lens can also be used for identifying small objects, insects,leaves, animal tracks etc so it's just not for fire lighting!!!
