This very simple and basic designed Fire Steel is small enough to fit in a Tinderbox or Tinder Pouch but can also be worn around the neck and still be totally functional as a traditional flint and steel striker.
This traditional styled steel striker is used for traditional ‘Flint & Steel’ fire making. Used with Amadou tinder fungus or Char Cloth, the sparks created from this top quality steel striker will easily form an ember that can be used to ignite a tinder bundle. Please note no Flint or Tinders are included in this sale. You can add one of our Starter Tinder Pouch Kits which contains some Flint & tinder samples to start you on your Flint & Steel journey.
