Whales have always had an ethereal quality and feature in many tales and legends, eg Moby Dick. The Whale shape has always been a popular design over the years but we at Beaver Bushcraft have given this classic design a modern twist. The Whale has a very faint hint of a smile on its face giving it a cute touch of character.

This style of Fire Steel is ideally suited for the complete Beginners to the Expert Traditional Flint & Steel Fire Lighting Master, and anyone in between who wants a Fire Steel that is fairly easy to use and that produces a very high yield of sparks with absolutely no effort when used with a very sharp piece of flint and some good quality dry tinder such as char cloth or Amadou. However due to it's smaller size we do suggest the a little bit of experience with using Flint & Steel is needed when using our smaller strikers.

Our Fire Steels have been specially designed to spark efficiently when using the correct striking technique, and that optimal spark generation can only really be achieved when using a new super sharp piece of flint, as well as some good quality, and dry tinder, such as Char Cloth, Amadou or Chaga.
