These traditional classic Viking styled Fire Steels are based on classic designs but with a triskel detail. We have given these fire steels a 5/5 ‘ease of use’ rating as they are ideal for beginners upwards. These Fire Steels are extremely easy to use and are ideal for teaching traditional fire lighting. This style of Fire Steel is well balanced and the weight and shape makes it easy to use with just small amount of experience, making it an exceptional Fire Steel for beginners upwards. A good array of sparks is produced when using the right technique along with some super sharp flint and dry tinder.

Please note no Flint or Tinders are included in this sale. Prototypes and samples are unique pieces that we use to develop our line of traditional fire steels. Sometimes we will only do 1 or 2 of each design and then weak the design until we are happy with it. They are still fully functional working items and one they have gone, they’ve gone!!!
