These traditional Viking styled Fire Steels are based on classic designs throughout the centuries but with a triskel detail added. We have given these fire steels a 5/5 ‘ease of use’ rating as they are ideal for beginners upwards. These Fire Steels are extremely easy to use and are ideal for teaching traditional fire lighting. This style of Fire Steel is well balanced and the weight and shape makes it easy to use with just small amount of experience, making it an exceptional Fire Steel for beginners upwards. A good array of sparks is produced when using the right technique along with some super sharp flint and dry tinder.

Our Fire Steels have been specially designed to spark efficiently when using the correct striking technique, and that optimal spark generation can only really be achieved when using a new super sharp piece of flint, as well as some good quality, and dry tinder, such as Char Cloth, Amadou or Chaga.
