We have wanted to make these for a very long time now and finally got round to it. These perfect beautiful hand crafted, vintage leather boxes contain an old school Flint & Steel fire lighting kit. These are the 'baby sister' of our well known Beaver Creek Tinderboxes but without the lens. We wanted to evoke the same old pioneering spirt but creating something a bit more simple. Each box has been hand stitchedm hand wet moulded, hand dyed to create its own patina so each box will vary from each other. Each box comes with a beautiful elegant  'R' shaped high carbon fire steel, some tinders and of course some english flint! Everything you need to creat fire the old fashioned way! 

The leather tinderboxes  have been carefully wet moulded to create the soft shape we wanted and then hand cross stitched in artificial sinew to create the corners. Each leather box is then hand dyed and given a slight rustic patina effect to make the boxes look slightly aged. We wanted the boxes to look loved and cherished. Each lid is custom fitted & individually made to ensure it fits the bottom part however we have also made some hand cut, hand dyed leather thonging to wrap round and secure the boxes.
