This sheath has been specifically designed to fit all the knives in the Mora Companion Series (ie the old Mora Clipper range). Full video instructions explain the simple process.

leather make your own leather mora sheaths showing options for beaver bushc The Kits contains a high quality 3.5 (+/-)mm veg tanned leather pre-cut out sheath with pre punched stitching holes and assembly markings. Plus a thick leather welt, with pre punched holes. The Welt is an essential assembly component to any good quality sheath. It is designed to protect the sheath’s stitching from the blade as well as protecting the blades cutting edge whilst sheathed. The leather has been left as natural as possible. We have left it up to the individual if they wish to keep the sheath natural and over time the leather will patina down or it can be hand dyed or tooled, we will leave it up to you.

leather thread selection for make your own mora leather sheath by Beaver Bu There is a choice of Artificial Sinew or Brown Tiger thread (see drop down menu option) with a good quality sewing needle for cross stitching Plus we have included a tube of strong contact adhesive for bonding the welt and two sides of the sheath together before stitching. Also included is an Awl for realigning and expanding the holes thus allowing the needle to pass though more easily .A piece of sand paper has also been included for smoothing out the leather edge of the welt once it has been glued and before stitching.

The basic tools for assemble have all been included in the Kit however we have suggested some extra tools that may aid the assembly: a pair of pliers, a pair of scissors and a lighter to seal the tread ends.
