Once in a while we like to create something that is a little bit special. We have recently been collecting old Fire Steels, Tins and Tinderboxes for a new range of limited edition Fire Lighting Kits. Each tin will be different to each other as it will have its own unique patina. These tins will have an aged rustic patina, creating their own character. Perfect for re-enactors, bushcrafters, collectors or someone who wants something a little bit unique and maybe a possible heirloom for future generations.  

This special 'One Off' Tinderbox is made up of a fairly rare vinatage mini snuff box and all the items added fit snuggly into this mini tin and the custom made vinaged waxed leather pouch keeps this pewter tin safe and protected.  Together they make a little bit of history come back to life. The Tinder kit has been carefully selected to recapture the era but also to be practical. Although this is a limited edition piece is still designed to be used. The more you use it, the more loved it will look. Suitable for all Bushcrafters, budding Pioneers, re-enactors, LARPs enthusiasts, Cosplayers & anyone who loves making fire the traditional way.  

We at Beaver Bushcraft are becoming more and well known for our old school style of leather work. We like to think of our work as timeless and that it captures that old pioneering spirit.  Please note that this particular Snuff Tinderbox is a vintage piece and has an aged patina etc. It is still in perefct working condition. Any patina, markings, age spots etc can be seen clearly in the photos. The photos have not been retouched in anyway. Sold as seen. As the traditional fire steel is quite small, we do advise you need to know a little bit about how to hold a fire steel to create sparks when stuck with flint.

The Leather Pouch 

Each of our vintage pieces has had a custom made leather pouch made for them. We wanted to make each set a little bit special and unique. This particular pouch is made from a piece of soft old waxed leather and  has been given a leather thong fastening with beaded detail giving it a different twist. Each piece is hand sized or pocket sized. Measures approx. 150mm x 100mm and is made from a old waxed soft calf leather.  A perfect gift for someone who wants something unique and definitely not from the High Street!
