Based on a very traditional Viking Fire Steel that was used at around the 9th Century AD. It is ideal for keeping in a traditional Tinderbox or in a Tinder Pouch. Perfect for Vikings, Bushcrafters, Survivalsits, Cosplayers and ideal for making fire the old school way.

We have given this particular Fire steel a 5/5 ease of use rating. This Fire Steel is extremely easy to use and is ideal for a Novice to Advanced and sparks efficiently. This style of Fire is well balanced and the weight and shape make it easy to use with just a modicum of experience, making it an exceptional Fire Steel for beginners who are after a bit of a challenge. 

Our Fire Steels have been specially designed to spark efficiently when using the correct striking technique, and that optimal spark generation can only really be achieved when using a new super sharp piece of flint, as well as some good quality, and dry tinder, such as Char Cloth, Amadou or Chaga.
