This traditional styled Greek 'B' shaped Fire Steel has been designed and made by us at Beaver Bushcraft in the UK. Although it has a Triskele motif, which is for decoration, it's over all design is based on an authentic Greek Fire Steel from around the 8th -11th Century. 

This beautiful traditional styled fire steel is used for traditional ‘Flint & Steel’ fire making. Used with Amadou tinder fungus or Char Cloth, the sparks created from this top quality steel striker will easily form an ember that can be used to ignite a tinder bundle.  Its an ideal size for keeping in a Tinderbox or popping into a Tinder Pouch.  

Our Fire Steels have been specially designed to spark efficiently when using the correct striking technique, and that optimal spark generation can only really be achieved when using a new super sharp piece of flint, as well as some good quality, and dry tinder, such as Char Cloth, Amadou or Chaga.
