These soft vintage leather Pouches have been designed to re capture the feeling of a bygone age. They have been hand stitched using a traditional cross stitch giving them a slightly old school look. The more you use it, the softer the leather becomes and over time will take on its own character.  These Pioneering Style Tinder Pouches have been made from soft vintage leather, hand crossed stitch using an artifical sinew thread and each one will have a slighly different effect. We only had enough vintage leather to make a small run of these. They have a hnad dyed leather thong that wraps around the pouch to keep it secure.

This particular style of 'Pioneeering' Pouch has been made from firm but supple vintage leather that will start to mould itselfs to the shape of any items that will be kept in it, for example an Altoids Tin or Hudson Bay Tinderbox. You can use this style of Pouch for storing Tinder, small tinderboxes, 1oz Tobacco Tins, small pocket knives or even credit cards!!! One side can be used for Tinder the other side for storing a small tin. We do suggest that you don't store anything sharp in these pouches as it might scar or cut the leather.
