Our bestselling sharpening kit now has been given a beautiful hand crafted leather pouch. Made from high quality veg tanned leather 3.5mm (+/-) it has been left in a dark natural russet and measures approx: 145mm x 55mm x 20mm when closed. It’s designed to house a 1 x 5” diamond pocket stone (supplied) and the press stud allows you to open up the case and fasten up the other way to create a hand strop. The strop can be primed with the Tormek before you go on your journey however we do recommend that a protective piece of cloth/tissue paper in placed over the strop to stop any cross contamination with the rest of the leather case. (That’s if you are intending on using the strop as a honing strop if not then don’t put any compound on the strop, just leave it clear).

This 70 gram tube of high quality Honing Paste has been specially formulated to gently remove burrs and polish the cutting edges of knives, chisels, axes or plane irons, or in fact any tool that requires a razor sharp cutting edge.  You can even use a little of the honing paste, applied to your finger, to gently rub away any small rust spots that may appear on the sides of your cutting tools, and also gently remove the stains that are formed when cutting into certain high tannin woods, such as Sweet Chestnut. Please note that no knives are included with these kits.
