How appropriate is it to have a Fire Bird Fire Steel?  We were very much inspired by the legend of the Phoenix, a bird reborn from its own ashes. The Phoenix symbolises renewal, rebirth, and representing the ability to rise from destruction. Like fire and ashes, to start anew, stronger and transformed. It signifies hope, overcoming adversity, the cyclical nature of life, and often connects to the sun, spiritual transformation, and fresh starts. The prefect symbol for a traditional Fire Steel!

Due to the amount of detail on this particular design, we do sugest that you need some experience of using a traditional fire steel. All our Fire Steels have been specially designed to spark efficiently when using the correct striking technique, and that optimal spark generation can only really be achieved when using a new super sharp piece of flint, as well as some good quality, and dry tinder, such as Char Cloth, Amadou or Chaga.
