This traditional 2nd Century Spanish style fire steel striker is based on an  Iberic style. Used with Amadou tinder fungus or Char Cloth, the sparks created from this top quality steel striker will easily form an ember that can be used to ignite a tinder bundle.  Its an ideal size for keeping in a Tinderbox or a Tinder Pouch. It produces a cascade of sparks when stuck by a piece of Flint and when used with the right technique for traditional Flint & Steel.  

Our Fire Steels have been specially designed to spark efficiently when using the correct striking technique, and that optimal spark generation can only really be achieved when using a new super sharp piece of flint, as well as some good quality, and dry tinder, such as Char Cloth, Amadou or Chaga.
